Hello friends I've been gone a couple months because my phone was stolen and honestly I've been very depressed. Anyway I'm worried and need advice please. I have colon cancer that spread to my liver that I had surgery on 8 weeks ago.  Tonight drying off after my shower I noticed dark brown/bloody looking discharge coming out of my left nipple.  Please tell me is this a sign of breast cancer? I'm really worried and have a bad feeling,  please help me.

@AlyceMarie‍ from my understanding... most nipple discharge is benign or from some other condition, unrelated to cancer. However, either way I would notify your doctor and get the appropriate tests done.

Is it still occurring? You did not have this discharge out of your right nipple? only left?

@AlyceMarie‍ Sorry to hear about your phone - glad you are back!

I agree with the above poster, however do NOT STRESS now. Nothing you can do about it until you speak with your doctor. Bloody discharge is an alarm and, while it can be a sign of intraductal carcinoma, it can also be a intraductal benign something.. So, it can also NOT be. But it could be something or it could be nothing... cancer, something else, or not. But if you stress now you will over work yourself. Take a deep breath and pray for the best and calm yourself.

Reach out to the doctor to discuss your concerns and get the lab tests done that he orders.

Keep us updated!

Hi @AlyceMarie‍,

Definitely get it checked out. I had Paget’s Disease which is cancer of the nipple. It is not common. I had it for quite a while before I had it checked out. I had surgery and things are fine now. It is easy to say don’t stress over this but stressing won’t help. Remaining calm and determined will help. Good thoughts and prayers are going your way.
