@Greta08

I can see by the hour that you posted this that you probably aren't sleeping well if at all.   If you are going to the oncologist they will tell you what the treatment plan is based on your diagnosis. You may have to have surgery. This precedes any other treatment you may need with time for healing. Hopefully that will be all that's needed.  Depending on the diagnosis the Dr may discuss whether  chemo and/or radiation is indicated.   Additional tests may need to be done

I do not like to take medication, HOWEVER anti anxiety medication was my best friend.  And my antidepressant was increased.  I am a nurse and don't know which is worse, knowing what I know or being clueless.  It is scary. I was I initially diagnosed 5 yrs ago and only had surgery. It was not an invasive cancer and stage 0.  I found a lump under my arm this past summer and this was invasive.  Had it removed and went through chemo.  Start radiation tomorrow.  Do you have family, live alone, have friends, a church family, any kind of support?

Cathy

Unfortunately I have very little support.  My dad passed away a year ago this month with cancer and dementia . He was 87 my mom is in poor health since my father passed away and the last thing I want to do is to tell her that I have cancer .

Since being diagnosed I feel more tired and my chest hurts which didn't before so I'm thinking it's all in my head.  I hate the waiting game, I feel like it's growing and growing and I still got seven more days before I find out what the treatment is . I don't know if once they decide treatment if it takes a long time to get started or if it's pretty quick. I'm only learning what I can from the Internet and that's driving me crazy.

Why did they wait so long to start chemo? I would think once  diagnosed they would start treatment immediately .

Living on PRAYERS !! YOU NEED TO STAY POSITIVE,  OR IT WILL  DRIVE YOU CRAZY. FINDING THE BEST Doctor for yourself . I'm from the Cincinnati area , my family members wanted me to go to the best. I'm being treated in my area but I did go to the Ohio State James Center . They explained it the best. Praying they find a cure so no more people suffer from cancer. I went to the ER.for sharp pains in my left shoulder blade. The came back with gallbladder cancer and spots on my liver. What a shock...that was nov.16 2018 I'm starting my 3rd.  treatment today.

Prayers....
