I think one of the misunderstandings is with breast reconstruction, self-confidence will not be affected and success is almost guaranteed. Also that you would be OK with the results compared to natural breasts... not much communication or psychological support is given.

that people with a family history of breast cancer get it too - and no only a small portion of people with BC have it in their family history - a lot of us have had healthy family lineages and still have it!!!

that somehow our lifestyle caused us to get cancer... while this may be true an extent, women who live healthy lives and eat healthy still have gotten cancer.
