Hey everyone,

I don't know why but a sudden fear of remission has taken a hold of me over the last couple of months and it has disturbed my frame of thought. I am normally very calm and composed but I cannot seem to get it out of my mind and it has affected my day to day life as well. For context, I was declared cancer free 2 years ago. Is anyone else experiencing something like this or had experienced for that matter? My husband tells me that maybe I am a bit too worried but am I?

Would appreciate some thoughts

Sara

Thank you for opening this discussion! The fear of remission is something that isn't talked about enough and I am sure there are others who relate to your condition.

How is your battle with breast cancer going? Were you able to beat it? Did you have any fears of remission? How did you cope with them?

Hi Sara,

You are doing great! I feel that it is common to be concerned about a reoccurrence. I think about it every time I find a bump on me anywhere. But I feel the same way as you. I worry constantly about a recurrence.
