I know it did for me! But I am here to show you all support and say we are still beautiful!

Who else has had a Mastectomy? Did you struggle after for confidence?

Yes. Initially, but I battled to know that it did not. It really affected my psychologically initially and took some work; even during the process of breast reconstruction and after, I still struggle, but now I see it as I am much stronger!

Yes, I did as well. In fact, I had a failed direct implant placed and I’m still awaiting the final reconstruction surgery. It’s difficult but knowing it’s temporary is what gets me through. Accepting my life is forever changed is the hardest part of it all. Knowing that my cancer was caught in time is what balances the two evils. I’m very grateful and blessed overall! But, I’m  human so going through the stages of grief is a normal process.
