Have you ever quit your job because of bipolar disorder? I feel like one day I want it and I am so excited and then later I hate the idea of doing it so much. How do you deal with not wanting to do what you wanted at first? How do you work?

Yes I have quit Several jobs because of my Bipolar!!! If I felt it was just Too Stressful I would make sure I was getting enough sleep and talk it over with My now ex husband. 1 time I didn't talk to him and I just took my framed Diplomas off my boss wall and walked out!! I was pissed. My ex just said you must have been thinking about this for a long time!! My boss forgave me and He later owned a successful CPA firm!! He was Deaf and I was his Secretary and ASL interpreter. Never regret your occupation choices. Bipolar persons are Very Intelligent!!

Having bipolar disorder can make sticking to a job pretty hard because some days I'm all in and excited, and other days I don't want to do it at all. I've found that having a job where I can work from home helps a lot with this. At first, I wasn't sure I could find remote jobs in Tucson, but I was surprised by what I found. I am a Virtual Subrogation Team Manager for a car insurance company. Working from home means I can adjust my work setting to fit how I'm feeling, which helps me manage the highs and lows of bipolar disorder.
