I don't know how to communicate at all I just bottle everything up and deal with, I cry more than I am happy and I feel like that's why my S/O  dose the things he dose but it makes it so much worse for me and my brain how do I even talk to him especially about the things he is doing. I want to talk to him about it but I just don't know how I need help and no one will help me

I may not be of much help, but I wanted you to know that you're not alone. I can't open up either. I've got major insecurities and I bottle everything up bcuz I don't know what people, anyone at all, will do or plan to do with the information I may give them? I tend to have stronger more intense feelings and emotional issues, so I've been told by psychiatrist. So, bcuz of my reactions to situations involving emotions or talking I keep them to myself and sometimes I even don't know the words to express myself correctly, or even what and why I may be feeling a certain way. I don't know if you experience this as well or not but I did want you to know that you're not alone. I hope you find peace and happiness and I hope you find a way to express yourself as well

Hello @Sadmom‍ and @Crystalthmp‍, thank you for opening and participating in this discussion. Communicating how we feel and being vulnerable can be so difficult. I think you're not alone in feeling this way.

Can anyone relate to this? Do you also find it hard expressing how you feel? How can we learn to open ourselves up more and be vulnerable? Can you share any techniques or advice?

Feel free to share here!

Take care,
Courtney

I can definitely relate to this! I don't tell very many people but how I do it is, when I can't handle it anymore, I first ask if they are busy. This ensures they will be able to help you to the best if their ability! I also say I want to talk about something but it is kinda a lot! And I start out small I say what j am going through  as a general statement  and as I see how they help me I share more or less! And once I find someone who is helpful to me, I stick with them! Now, I would recommend having  at least  2 people that way if one is busy in a time of crisis you still have someone! Also I would  say if they don't validate your feelings  or make you feel worse don't open up to them, or you don't trust them! Like if you are in a fresh relationship as in dating don't share a bunch because  if you guys breakup then they could expose you!

I hope this is helpful!
