Does anyone experience difficulty breathing due to scoliosis?

Mine is more than just little bit curved. It got a point where specialists of orthopedics and thoracic asked me if I had ever been diagnoses with scoliosis before, which I had not and still have not ... it is postural so I was not born with it. I was in a bad accident about 10 years ago, which caused me to have to hold my body and neck in a certain way for years due to pain and limited mobility, which has led to scoliosis. Over years it progressively got worse. I finally got to a point where I healthier and more able bodied a few years ago and have been trying to get more straight with exercises and stretching, and while I have improved it is still there.

Does anyone have scoliosis? Do you think it affects your breathing? What have you done to help with it - the breathing or the scoliosis?

Thanks

I have had an s turned to a c, but listening to youtube hz that give you bowel movements helps as it cleans the bowels that surround the back bone. dont do to often but keep intestines clear. My chiro has straintened mine a lot, but large doses of vit C like 20 grams for a long time will make the tendons and ligaments strong. 5 prunes, 1fig, 1 apricot works too in 90 days i noticed a strong back on NYC subway where i swayed. MIne started at 16 and stayed the same i am 64 a health writer. It takes exercise to stay fit and straighter. Scoliosis is a weak tendon and ligament structure, the muscles get lazy.

I have mild scoliosis and I definitely think it impacts my breathing. As @MichaelR‍ says, exercise and certain stretches can help it get better. Mine was not from birth, but more acquired from poor posture and my work... so exercise and stretching helped. However, it is not completely gone and I have noticed my endurance has been reduced and asthma exacerbated at times.

Two professionals said weak tendons ans ligaments contribute but drs say high doses of vitamin C are great for it. try 20 grams a day. bowel tolerence level will be reached and loose stools but back off slowly.
