Hello everyone,

How are you doing today?

I have heard from many of you that it is difficult to navigate the medicare system: they have denied your coverage, you are still waiting for responses, etc.

What has your experience been with Medicare? Have they covered your treatments? What have they denied? Have you won a case against them?

I've had no problem with Medicare. Every claim has been paid in full for doctors and hospital stays, and the co-pay for my meds is 100% reasonable. It's even paid for physical therapy both in the hospital and at home after my hip replacement surgery. So far, great, but if that ever changes I'll post again.

I've gotten SO much medical help from my Functional Medicine doctor, which support my keeping RA in remission, but aside from paying for some allergy testing and a genetic test, the doctor's time is not reimbursable by Medicare, so I pay out of pocket: $600 at first, then another $600 for the second appointment (these are an hour long, so I get lots from it).

I wish someone with clout could make Medicare cover the doctor's time!
