Hello everyone

How are you doing today?

It is critical to learn how to effectively communicate and advocate for yourself in the doctor's office. They have limited time to see you, so come prepared and make sure you address all of your concerns before leaving. This is your appointment, make sure they hear you.

Tips for Talking to Your Doctor

1. Come Prepared

2. Prioritize Your Concerns

3. Bring Someone With You

4. Take Notes

5. Take Control of Your Appointment

6. Be Honest And Ask Follow Up Questions

Remember: You have the right to ask questions and voice potential concerns. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want or need. You are your own best advocate.

What about you? Tell us about your experiences with medical professionals. How do you do to advocate for yourself?

Take care,

Lizzi from the Carenity team

@geometry lite It's also important to feel comfortable with your doctor. If you don't feel like they're listening to you or you don't feel confident discussing your health, it might be time to find a new doctor who is a better fit
