Hello everyone, I hope you're feeling okay today.

This is a tender and personal topic, and we know it may not apply to everyone in our community. But for those who’ve faced it, or are thinking about it for the future, it’s okay to talk about it here.

Hospice care isn’t about giving up. It’s about choosing comfort, dignity, and quality of life when curative treatments are no longer helping. It can bring relief, support, and a sense of peace, but it can also bring up fear, grief, and uncertainty, whether for ourselves or someone we love.

💬 If you feel comfortable sharing:

  • Have you ever had to think about hospice care, for yourself or for someone close to you?
  • What feelings came up for you? Was it a difficult conversation?
  • Have you found ways to talk openly about end-of-life care with your loved ones?

There’s no right or wrong way to approach this topic. You’re welcome to simply read, or to share whatever feels safe and helpful.

Please take gentle care of yourselves, and of each other in this space 💛

Warmly,
Somya from the Carenity team 🌼

Hi and Happy Saturday. Trust all are well. End of life, hospice, etc. Heavy question! At least my gen X would say it in that way. Yes, my Mom. She had liver cancer, & hospice was used in the end. Very special time, I didn't spend much time w her in last days. Kinda regret it. I know she's safe, had friend sorta channel her. Wanted to be sure. She left my Dad, few years before he joined her. Before chemo brain, yup a thing, she managed to get 24/7 care for Dad, dementia did him in. He had live in help, day & night. Hospice is a lovely service many prefer. Dad didn't require it, but his caregivers were stellar!! Rather powerful question, thanks for asking. Anyone else have thoughts?
