My faith keeps me strong and focused, my illness makes me more understanding and compassionate with others who suffer.

Hi. Happy Monday over!! Fun to say. Faith, spirituality, helping on healing journey. I grew up in Faith based family. We lean on Heavenly Creator daily. I suppose to some extent, yes having Faith has benefitted my problems. Try to watch church weekly. Still need to finish this week's sermon ( watch it exclusively). Occasionally entire service, like funerals, yet Sunday service, the Message suffices.
Thanks for starting question Somya.

Yes, my faith has brought me through some dark times. If it weren't for God, I would probably be dead now. I tried to end my life about 12 years ago and if it weren't for the prayers of my fellow Christians I would not have made it. Prayer is a staple in my life.

Are there particular practices, traditions, or teachings that have helped you manage your pain and supported you during hard times?
Yes. This is a two-part question and so I'll provide a two-part response for you, along with some explanations along the way 😃. I am a pagan, specifically a Green Eclectic Witch, which means that I use plants, as well as other parts of nature, and follow the Wheel of the Year. I honor and celebrate the traditional Sabbats and perform the traditional practices and always strive to learn more. While I've experienced a number of REALLY difficult traumatic events, and MUCH MORE than my share of personal attacks and upheavals, I have consistently been able to "put one foot in front of the other," follow the traditional lore and practices, and keep myself relatively stable. As for helping my pain, YES! THIS is what I've dedicated a large part of my practice toward: healing! I am known for "getting lost" in deep research, emerging with several new remedies or other intriguing information. I started a minor business to help others, NOT to make money off of ailing individuals, but just to be able to keep myself in physical supplies. I grow and produce many of my own products, however there are several items that must be purchased. I'm looking forward to having an abundant growing season, following traditions and practices, and helping others. Blessed be!
