Hello all,

I hope you are all well, and had a nice weekend.

As you can see from the title of this discussion, I'd like to ask you about fatigue. It is, unfortunately, a common symptom of many chronic conditions, and the one that affects our daily lives a great deal.

Do you experience fatigue, due to your illness? How does it affect your daily life (your work, your relationships, your social life)?

How do you cope with it? What helps you reduce your fatigue? Is there anything you'd like to recommend other patients?

Do not hesitate to share and discuss in the comments below. Remember: your experience and your insights can be very helpful to others!

Thank you!

Stay safe.

Courtney

@LizziB I rest, don't do anything strenuous, and consider myself lucky that I'm retired and can pretty much to as I please thanks to delivery services that enable me to get whatever I need or want without having to exert myself or leave the house.

@LizziB I try to take my time with everything that I feel is strenuous. I try to start to do things the day before so I have enough time to do everything.

@LizziB I have fatigue and I just rest when I need too. I do little things at a time and I pace myself. I can't do too much or I spend the day in bed. Too much sleep makes me hurt, too little sleep makes me sick. I guess it's a matter of balance.

Yeah, dealing with fatigue due to chronic conditions is something I can relate to personally. It can impact various aspects of life, including work, relationships, and social activities.

I think finding coping mechanisms that work for you is essential. For me, prioritizing rest and pacing myself throughout the day has been crucial. Taking short breaks and naps when needed helps me recharge and manage fatigue better.

I've also found that maintaining a balanced diet and staying hydrated can make a difference in my energy levels. Regular exercise, tailored to my abilities, has also been beneficial, even if it's just gentle activities like walking or yoga.

In terms of recommendations, I suggest listening to your body and not pushing yourself too hard on days when fatigue is overwhelming.

I have been more tired than usual. Very stressed right now.
this is why I am so tired today. It’s been a rough couple of days. I fired my MS Dr. because I had been telling her since March I had dizziness and vertigo and she said it wasn’t MS. I had to go see an ENT. That was a complete waste of time and money. Even her partner says it’s common. I’ve talked to MS patient who have it. I was finally able to get her to give me some IV steroids in Juhe completely stopped the dizziness. . I should not of had to wait that long. So I don’t have an appointment until September. Waiting that long has me nervous. I’m really thinking of reporting her. What are your thoughts on reporting?
