Yes, emotional and cognitive multitasking causes extreme intellectual exhaustion and leaves many feeling "stretched thin"

Im looking for a job been two years since I lost it. I've put out applications, resumes, had phone screenings, virtual in person NOTHING!!!! Im frustrated, and I keep trying while where I live is unsafe, and the city is dying as I approach 60 I walk to deal with the stress and Im thinner than I was 10 + years ago and I lost my dad, job, and cat all within that time. Now I have a friend whos trying to shove God down my throat and that's fine, but I need encouragement and because hes saved does not give him the right to shove this down my throat. Im frustrated

I feel emotionally and mentally very stable. I've been getting stronger and stronger. I broke my hip last year and I'm now able to walk without a wheelchair behind me as a back up. Makes me feel good. They're having a Mother's Day brunch today and it looks nice what they've set up the tables with flowers. Hopefully, the food will be good. Last time we had salmon. They had garlic, mashed potatoes and crisp asparagus that was good very good. Happy Mother's Day everyone!

The older I get I find it difficult to deal with unpleasant people. Why are people so mean and self centered?

Hi everyone,
Sometimes we’re not just juggling tasks, we’re juggling emotions, decisions, memory, focus, and responsibilities, all at the same time. And when chronic illness or mental health is involved, this multitasking can feel even heavier.
Let’s open up about what that looks like for us:
