Hello everyone,

Aspartame (E951) has been classified by the WHO as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” in July 2023. Yet, more than a year later, this artificial sweetener is still found in over 2,500 low-fat and sugar-free products, including diet sodas, energy drinks, and chewing gum.

🔹 Why are consumer groups calling for a ban?

  • Independent research has linked aspartame to type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
  • Studies suggest no real benefit for weight loss, and even potential weight gain over time.
  • A 2022 French study found cancer risks in people consuming just half a can of diet soda per day.

👉 Do you consume products with aspartame?

👉 Should it be banned as a precaution, or do we need more research?

👉 Have you switched to other sweeteners or reduced your sugar intake?

Let’s discuss the risks and whether consumer pressure can bring change! 💬

Take care,
