July 21st is National Junk Food Day... Did you know we have a day dedicated to celebrate the junk foods we love to snack on... burgers, french fries, ice cream, candy, chocolate, chips, and the list of junk food goes on and on.

While eating healthy is important and we encourage you to resource the Nutrition Section of the Health Magazine for healthy nutrition advice written by medical providers and much more... we also thought it would be fun to share your favorite junk food with others.

I am not a cake person, but I love ice cream. I won't be any extra because of the junk food day tomorrow. I enjoy a bit of ice cream once or twice a month. Not much of a sweets person over all. Thank you for asking.

Because of my condition, I do not eat much of junk food. I have eliminated most of it from my diet for years, so I do not miss any of it. Two of the rare things I allow myself to indulge in - and it has health benefits - is not really junk food, but peanut butter - has to be crunchy - and dark chocolate. I sometimes eat them together but I eat them sparingly due to the sodium content.

I really enjoy tacos.. and really they are not too bad. Don't know if I consider it a junk food. For sweets, it would probably be chewy candy - sweedish fish or sour patch kids.

I grew up and still live in the greater metropolitan Chicago area where they're available so White Castle original sliders are far and away my favorite junk food - and have been since I was 12 years old (I'm now 78). I've tried the frozen ones, however - and they're horrible! Luckily there are three White Castle restaurants within 15 minutes to half an hour of where I live, each in a different direction, so I never have to go without ever again like I did when I was an Army wife living with my then-husband in Virginia and then Texas.
