During this Coronavirus pandemic, many of us have been advised to "social distance" ourselves, limiting contact with strangers, friends and even in some cases, family. No more trips to the movies, the mall, the gym, or any of those other things we love to do.
We may be "stuck" at home, but let's not let it get us down!
Here are a few little ideas to help you keep busy while social distancing at home!
Take advantage of this time to:
- Call and check in on your loved ones.
- Pick up a new sport or workout (indoors, obviously )! The internet is full of all kinds of tutorials and guides, there is something for everyone!
- Read or reread the "classics" or any other of your favourite books.
- Spend some time in the kitchen, recreating old recipes or testing new ones.
- Do some spring cleaning or reorganisation.
- And above all, do things that make you happy!
What will you be doing while staying at home? Do you have any tips or ideas for activities? Share you thoughts or ideas below!

@Courtney_J I'm going to be able to get back into my passion project: knitting! I do like the idea of rereading the classics. There are so many I haven't read since my high school days or have never gotten to read at all!

I hope you're all doing well!
Here's a little video I thought I'd share that shows some of the creative ideas people have found to keep busy during the isolation! Some of them are quite creative!
What do you think? Ready to give any of those things a try?

@Courtney_J Wow that's fun! I'm glad that people are coming together like that to make the best of a bad situation. I've seen other videos of people in Italy singing together on their balconies and it gives me goosebumps. Maybe I should try to start up a balcony choir with the other people in my building. Not sure that would go over well in New York

I've been working from home mostly during the week. And in my down time I've been trying to learn the guitar. I bought myself one ages ago and never took the time to learn how to play. There's lots of great vids online that teach you how to play.

Today's social distancing activity is a 5 minute meditation session!
Meditation can be a great way to relax your body and mind! Let's take advantage of this opportunity to relax in the face of this stressful situation!
Have a great weekend everyone!

@Courtney_J Ooh what a good idea! I'll give this a try tomorrow morning! I think we could all use some relaxation right about now!

Good morning everyone!
Today, if you're feeling up to it, you can gently get back into shape with this 30-minute workout for beginners!
If you try out the workout, let us know what you thought!

Yaas thank you for the workout! This will give me something to do after work! My "beach body" dreams have gone down the drain with the social distancing! I've been sitting loafing on my couch 24/7 watching Netflix. Hopefully it's a light one that's not too rough on the joints. I may have to adapt it for my RA. Thanks!
