Hello everyone,

I hope you're all doing well.

We will soon be publishing the results of our global survey on COVID-19 and chronic illness. This study allowed us to measure the impact of COVID-19 on access to care and quality of life for patients with chronic illness in real time.

I will let you know as soon as the results are out!

But what about you? Have you had any medical appointments cancelled or rescheduled?

Have you made the choice not to "bother" your doctors, thinking they might be busy in the field?

Have you experienced any shortages of your medications? Have you changed or stopped taking your treatment?

Feel free to share with us here. emoticon cute

Take care and stay safe,

Courtney

@Courtney_J This is an interesting question. I think in a way, especially right now, I don't want to bother my doctor. I'm usually not afraid to give his office a call when I have questions, but right now I find myself going more to the internet or coming here or to other sites I'm on because I know the healthcare system is overwhelmed right now. But if I were to have an emergency like a heart attack or a broken bone I would for sure call 911 in a heartbeat. But if I have the sniffles or a question about my meds or something I'm feeling I think right now I'm more hesitant to call.

Definitely not changing my medications though. I think the general advice across the board has to not change anything unless your doctor says to, so I'm sticking to that. I think stopping something would put me at more risk than taking what I'm currently taking.

I always feel like I'm not worth their time. I have panic attacks and that's always what they say my issues are. I feel so bad when they say it's anxiety. Why can't I control it? I hate living like this.

I've been putting off going to my Dr. I know I should, but I would have to go into a hospital to get care. I don't want to risk it.
