Hello,
How are you today?
Being a child and then a teenager with a chronic illness like type I diabetes is difficult. You have to grow up with the disease, understand and accept it. Adolescence is a new challenge, with major physiological and psychological changes. An illness can be an additional burden.
Has the transition from child to adult care changed your perception of your illness? Has it enabled you to live better with type I diabetes than you did in childhood and adolescence? What improvements have you made?
Feel free to share and discuss in the comments below!
Have a nice day,
Lizzi from the Carenity team
