Hey @maryanne1! How are you feeling today?
Thank you for starting this discussion! Going to the therapist, for the first time especially, can seem very scary. Have you considered online meetings with a therapist from the comfort of your own home? Natural herbs and supplements can be beneficial for managing depression and overall health. For example: Chamomile, Omega - 3, Lavender and more! I will tag some members who might want to share their thoughts on this topic. :)

Hey everyone! How are you today?
How has your depression been lately? Have you ever tried using any natural pills, herbs or something like that to help with depression? Are there any non-medical depression treatments that worked for you?
Take care,
Polina from the Carenity team

Hi @maryanne1 . Just now read this. Yeah, starting anything new can be scary!! I second Polina K., online therapy. Worth a shot. I, personally, prefer in person, so I can get a feel for who they are, & how they work.
U asked about non prescription antidepressants. St. John's wort can be taken, with caution. I don't take it myself, but it can be helpful. My 2 cents. Take care.

It's understandable that the thought of therapy or medication can be overwhelming, but it's essential to take care of yourself.

Hi guys. I have been feeling depressed for a long time, but the idea of going to a therapist scares me and I don't know if my insurance can cover anti depressants. Have you tried any natural pills, herbs or something that help with depression? Does it work?
