It is physically and mentally draining. It affects my social and daily activities. I feel unproductive. I find it hard to communicate even with my friends. I try hard to mask my pain.

I listen to gospel music especially the Gaither Vocal Band . This relaxes me quite a bit. I don’t take anything for pain except Tylenol. I’m 80 and am a happy person. God brings me through everything or I would have given up. Does anyone else do these?

There are times when my husband doesn't understand how the pain affects my body because he's in much better health than I am. We live in the basement and if we need to go somewhere together he goes upstairs first so he doesn't have to wait for me to get up the stairs. Frustrating to say the least.

Hello everyone
How are you doing today?
Living with chronic pain year after year is both physically and mentally draining. Chronic pain is an added stress on your mental load and can be overwhelming and depressing.
What about you? Do you suffer from this additional added mental load or depression? What do you do to cope? '
Let's share our experiences with one another so that patients feel less alone in their suffering.
Take care,
Lizzi from the Carenity team
