Hi @sarahnosarah
How are you today?
I am sure many others here on the Carenity platform can relate to what you are saying. This is a great discussion and I'll tag a few people to see how they raise awareness about their condition.

What do you think about this? Does your condition cause mental haziness? Do you explain your chronic illnesses to others? How do you raise awareness?
Take care,

Chronic pain does affect my mental health for sure. I finally had to find a way to get some sense of normalsy back without the high degree of pain. The onset of narcolepsy mostly due to the amounts of drugs made me know I had to do something. Finding ways to not aggravate the pain is essential. You have more pain the more depressed you get. I found to be my own best advocate. Work to adjust dosage and time with your doctor. It’s an inexact science but no one knows how you feel better than you.

I live with chronic pain for about 5 years now. I try to get up n push through trying to walk n do things around the house but the pain dictates to me how to live day by day. I hate it because it's robbing me of having a full filling life with my husband n friends. God bless everyone living with chronic pain n keep fighting a good fight.

I wanted to talk about the toll that chronic pain has on people. Not knowing when to expect pain every day, and when it is expected, it still hurts too. It is so difficult that others don't easily understand it. I feel really frustrated that my aunt has to go through with it. She feels so unproductive and her mind is so hazy, thats what she tells me. I hope it gets better with time but it has already been a long time with chronic pain. I think it is important to spread awareness about this invsible pain and its effects on the mind.
