Hello everyone,

How are you doing today?

While living with a chronic illness, you can sometimes find yourself going long periods of time without having sex. For some, it may be even too painful.

What do you think? Is it unhealthy to go not have sex? What is the effect on your health? What has your experience been?

There's nothing wrong with not having sex in my opinion. I think that getting older means you may not need it as much, if at all

I never feel like having sex. I'm a 67yr just never have the feeling

It is too painful to have sex because of my health most of the time. Only a few times has it not hurt me to do it.

It's to much we are both big people and it takes a lot. He always way to play when I'm at my worst and it's frustrating and make me feel like he doesn't care. He says it will make you forgot about the pian. Tried that didn't work.

Personally I have been single for so long and haven’t been brave enough to have sex since my radical hysterectomy and all my cancer treatments… cervical cancer stage 4 metastatic totally ruined my sex drive and I don’t even have the physical desire although I would love to get it back & meet an amazing person to share the rest of my life with! I am interested to see what others are saying on this topic. I know my body isn’t the same AT ALL & after gaining weight too, I just don’t feel pretty anymore… it would definitely take a strong, good and encouraging man to make me feel “safe” to be that vulnerable again!

I guess the unhealthy part is not getting the relaxation and closeness. I myself haven't had sex since 2010. My husband not even trying to understand any of my illnesses thought I was just blowing money and crying one sec and a few minutes to days I was a complete B**ch and didn't care if I was dead or not which I tried 4 times to commit suicide.... I didn't care what happened to me. You should go to a store that can that might be able to show some things to you or I'd have to go online 😊. I embarrass easy

Yeah after my mastectomy I don't believe I will ever have sex again. That socks I really enjoyed it
