Becuase osteoporosis comprimises the strength and durability of the bones, individuals with osteoporosis are more likely to experience fractures or broken bones.

Have you every experienced a fracture or broken bone while diagnosed with osteoporosis? How did it occur? Did you take any preventative actions after experiencing the fracture or broken bone? - Share your story.

Yes. I had fractured my wrist 8 years ago and my hip going on 3 years ago. I started getting the prolia shot 3 years ago, shortly after my hip fracture, and have not had a fracture since, but then again... I have not fallen again.

Hi jacknjill, how long have you been diagnosed with osteoporosis for? How long after your diagnosis did you experience your first fracture? I am recently diagnosed, mild osteoporosis.
