My cancer was stage 3 when I discovered it. Don't really know how long I have had it. I always did a self examination while showering and never felt anything. After getting vaccinated for COVID-19 is when I felt like an almond under my right breast. In less than a week it was bigger and when I finally got the mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy they said it was cancer and it was TRIPLE NEGATIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA Stage 3 and metastasized to my armpit. Everything happened fast.

@Alond25 I have a very similar story! How are you feeling now?

@LiliGU I am feeling better, still healing from the double mastectomy. Chemotherapy left me with neuropathy on feet and hands. I am always in pain. How are you doing?

I honestly don't know how long I had it before diagnosed. I had noticed my left breast would feel uncomfortable in my bra about 3 months before, then it was tender when bumped or touched. Then I felt and saw a big lump. 11/2019 I brought it up to my doctor. He did an exam and got me an appointment for a mammogram right away. Then a biopsy. On 12/29/2019 I was told I had breast cancer. Then went to an oncologist, my doctor has already made the Appointment, had PET scan and found out that I had Metastatic Breast cancer. so treatment was aggressive

Hello guys! How is your day going?
Self-examinations can frequently find lumps or other changes in the breast that signify early-stage breast cancer, just like with testicular cancer. Frequent mammograms are essential for finding malignancies when they are still small and there are no other clear symptoms.
One study concluded that it can take up to 10 years before you get your diagnosis of breast cancer.
How long did you live with breast cancer without knowing? What alarmed you at first?
Take care,
Polina from the Carenity team
