Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and microwave ablation (MWA) of kidney tumors are two forms kidney tumor ablation. These treatments are effective options for patients with one kidney, those who may not be candidates for surgery or wish to forgo surgery, or as an alternative to surgery. The treatments use place needle through the skin into a kidney tumor, creating a small region of heat to ablate the tumor.

Have you had this treatment? What was the success? Any side-effects?

Any tips or recommendations to others who may be considering these options?
