Yes, it is called ascites. Have you spoken to your doctor about it?
Limit your salt, monitor your diet to see if certain fluids/diet affects you differently, and take diuretics when it is bad.

I have ascites and my GI doctor put me on Lasix and another water pill to take the excess water out. I don't use salt at all. The last ultrasound I had didn't show any fluid, so I'm not sure if he still wants me to continue on them or not.
